How Much Does a Belt Conveyor Cost in the UK?
A useful conveyor budget starts with a defined job: what needs moving, how far, at what speed and under which conditions? A standard horizontal conveyor and a complete installed production line have different scopes, so their prices should not be compared without checking what is included.
A starting price for a standard belt conveyor
As at 12 October 2026, CCL’s standard horizontal belt conveyor range starts at £2,390 excluding VAT, supply only, for a 300mm belt width and 1,000mm conveyor length. This is a starting configuration, not a price for every conveyor application.
The online belt conveyor calculator covers lengths from 1–6m and belt widths from 300–1,200mm. Check the current configuration and price there, then ask CCL to confirm suitability for your products and operating conditions.
What changes the price?
Length and width affect the belt, frame and supporting structure. Product weight, the total load on the conveyor and whether it starts fully loaded also influence the drive specification. The smallest product matters too: a conveyor must support it properly through each transfer.
Belt material, frame construction and cleaning requirements are further decisions. An incline, a special transfer or integration with another machine needs an application-specific review. Explore CCL’s belt conveyor options when your requirements go beyond a standard horizontal unit.
Supply only versus an installed system
The advertised starting price excludes VAT and is supply only. The calculator currently lists basic speed control at an additional £398 excluding VAT. Side guides, CAT3 controls, delivery and installation are quoted separately. Agree the required controls and guarding with CCL for the intended installation.
For a project budget, ask which costs cover the conveyor itself, delivery, installation, electrical connections, controls integration and commissioning. Comparing quotations against the same scope makes it easier to see what you are buying.
What should you send for an accurate quote?
Send product dimensions and weight, the required throughput, a route sketch, working heights and photographs of the loading and unloading points. Include your power supply, operating hours, environment and preferred installation window. Our conveyor quotation checklist explains the details.
Configure a standard belt conveyor or contact CCL for a bespoke quotation. If you are unsure of a measurement, send the information you have and we can identify the next steps.
