Modern Slavery Policy

Central Conveyors Ltd (CCL Automation) | Last updated: 19 October 2026

Our commitment

CCL is committed to preventing slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. We expect everyone working for or supplying CCL to respect human rights and treat people fairly.

Scope

This policy applies to our conveyor and automation activities, including design, manufacture, purchasing, installation and support. It sets expectations for directors, employees, agency workers, contractors and suppliers.

Standards we expect

Work must be freely chosen. Workers must be free to leave employment on lawful notice and must not be subjected to threats, coercion, debt bondage, unlawful recruitment fees or confiscation of identity documents. Child labour and human trafficking are unacceptable. Pay, working hours, recruitment and working conditions must meet applicable law.

Responsible purchasing and recruitment

Our policy is to consider modern slavery risks when selecting and reviewing suppliers, contractors and labour providers, with attention to the nature of the work, recruitment arrangements and supply-chain location. Where concerns arise, we will seek relevant information and proportionate evidence, discuss corrective action and consider whether the relationship can responsibly continue. Suppliers are expected to apply equivalent standards within their own supply chains.

Reporting a concern

Employees, suppliers and others should raise suspected exploitation promptly with a CCL director. Contact sales@central-conveyors.co.uk or telephone 01509 816064 and ask to speak privately to a director about a modern slavery concern. Share only information needed to explain the concern. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.

CCL will take concerns seriously, handle information sensitively and will not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a genuine concern in good faith. Concerns will be assessed and, where appropriate, referred to the relevant authorities. Protecting affected people will guide the response.

Responsibility and review

Directors are responsible for overseeing this policy. Managers should communicate the expectations relevant to their teams, and everyone working for CCL should remain alert to signs of exploitation. The policy is to be reviewed annually and when significant risks or business changes arise.

About this policy

This is a statement of CCL’s policy and expectations. It does not claim that every supplier has been audited or certify that all supply chains are free from slavery. It is not a financial-year statement of steps taken under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015; any required annual statement must be prepared, approved and signed separately.
